MPSQ is a free web tool for the search of functional modules and gene states.

Gene states are now characterized in four aspects: 1) small molecules bound information; 2) covalent modifications; 3) interaction with other proteins; 4) sub-cellular localization. Normally a state transition of a protein can induce some changes of protein functions in certain biology process. In cellular signaling process, the state transitions of a protein always indicate signal communications in biological system.

MPSQ provides a web interface to help discover protein states and state transition network maps. The query input can be a group of genes, the return information of the server is mapping information between genes and states, which is hyperlinked directly to some concrete definitions.

MPSQ allows users to search enriched transition network maps for the input genes, which is very useful for discovering the functional modules from the outputs of high throughput experiments. users can query the states information or the protein-protein interaction network. Here below showing example pictures for network map and protein interaction network.
